An unhappy tale of a deity who once protected the devout town of Hideaway. Scoffing and huffing at their offerings, he began making unreasonable demands of the townsfolk; the life of a child. Unable to place the safety of their town above the lives of their children, the town left his shrine to rot.
New deities protect the town now, yet the mists remain like cobwebs between the trees. Mist so thick you'll lose even your name within it.
Is that old story true?

I really love how much emotion is conveyed the entire way; not just in how the mortal kin (and especially the main girl) have such varied faces, but also the range of expression in one singular eye, a static mask, and then just limbs and their words. It's really good. It and the bonus pages are really cute.
Also, I'm a big fan of Wake already, but the flavor of it is so consistently (rattles the bars of my cage) courier! more Wake, please!
